The Castle Hotel 3***
Originally a coaching inn, reputedly frequented by Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton and the birthplace of the Welsh rugby union which was founded here in 1881, the Castle still retains its friendliness, while offering the very best of food, wines and modern day comfort. The hotel has 29 en suite warm and cosily furnished bedrooms which have been fully refurbished to an excellent standard. There are two inviting bars, one a contemporary music bar and one a traditional lounge
bar. Our restaurant ‘Greens’ offers traditional Welsh cuisine in contemporary elegant surroundings and a large restaurant which has a warm cottage feel and serves traditional Welsh cuisine.
This hotel represents excellent value and is just off the M4 motorway and two minutes walk from the nearest mainline railway station, making it the perfect base for visitors to South Wales. From Neath you can discover the historic monuments and castles which make the area so popular.
